Otherwise she might have reacted badly to a very public snub from ex-lover Balthazar Getty.

Two years after their affair hit the headlines, before which Balthazar was presumed to be blissfully married to his wife of eight years Rosetta, the actor has spoken out about the situation and claims he's happier than ever now that his family is reunited.

The couple had always been tight-lipped about their relationship and their children - that is, until pictures surfaced of Balthazar and Sienna holidaying in Italy while Rosetta looked after their newborn baby.

Sienna and Balthazar in 2008The controversy was so widespread that no-one thought that Rosetta would take Balzathar back into the family home - but that's exactly what she has done. Speaking in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Balthazar glossed over the affair: "Here's the bottom line: It was a challenging time for everybody involved, but I loved and missed my family too much not to make it work."

But praised his wife for her forgiveness and grace: "Rosetta is understanding enough and spiritual enough to let us try. I feel like we're better than we've ever been."

Rosetta added that she acted in the best interests of her children first and foremost: "I'm going to have to explain this to my daughters one day. I chose not to act from ego because I just felt like it would be too crushing for my children."

What a lady.
